Bigger is Better!

Dennis Manarchy is in the process of building what must be the largest camera 35' long with a negative 4 1/2 ft by 6 ft.  Not to capture panoramic landscapes or the Grand Canyon, but to photograph single individuals.  A single capture of our vanishing cultures. Final Friday February

StopLight Gallery
So we started at the beginning which is always a good place to start at the StopLight Gallery where work by Lee Shiney is on display.  Added to the 24/7 gallery are three windmill elements  as well as two works on unmounted canvas.  Stop by or better  take a nice walk by the StopLight Gallery and check out  some of his newest work.

Gallery XII
Then we headed across the street to Gallery XII where John Ellert is the featured artist with his show, "Larger Than Life".

Midwest Center For Photography
Next on the list was going to Linda K. Robinson with a retrospective at Midwest Center For Photography.

Bob Schwan Studios

Next to Linda K.'s is Bob Schwan's which was previewing the Palette to Palate fund raising show to benifit KETCH.  Bob sez he want to paint my picture and Him is supposed to email Bob some good photos of me...(like there are any bad ones!)

ShopKeepers Gallery

One of the most serious shows we attended tonight was at ShopKeepers Gallery where middle and high school students from across Wichita came together to address bullying.  Read the Wichita Eagle's article here.
